2011 Troupe of the Year!!
Nominated consecutively two years in a row for Arizona's 2012 & 2011 Favorite Tribal Group & Troupe of the Year! Also nominated for 2012 Instructor's of the Year. Divine Chaos Tribal Fusion (DC Tribal) was established in 2008 by co-founders Shannon and Tammy.
Co-founders Shannon and Tammy fell in love with the emotion, creative expression and sense of community that came along with tribal style belly dance as students of the Domba Studio in Tempe, Arizona. Shannon and Tammy have had the privilege and opportunity of dancing as members of Bedouin Tribe, sister troupe to Domba, and collaborating with many other amazing artists.
With a strong foundation in Domba ITS (improvisational tribal style), fire bellydance, skirt,and sword, DC Tribal has developed a unique and signature style of their own. DC Tribal is a dance sisterhood that is as passionate as it is disciplined about its dance! DC understands the importance of training and technical expertise and have become consummate learners and performers expanding their vocabulary to include ATS (American Tribal Style), Veil, and Double Fan. Divine Chaos Tribal is dedicated to working and playing hard, pushing boundaries, and creating and promoting the art form of Tribal Fusion Bellydance.
Divine Chaos performs throughout the valley at a variety of venues, from
restaurants to festivals; from PF Changs Rock & Roll Marathon and First Friday Phoenix Art Walk to major national events like Tribal Fest and Cairo Caravan. DC Tribal teaches weekly classes at Plaza de Anaya World Fusion studios, as well as workshops locally, nationally, and internationally.
Divine Chaos Tribal supports the community by being active members in MECDA (Middle Eastern Culture & Dance Association) where Shannon serves as President of the Arizona Chapter, Levant al Sonora.
